Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using Northbase, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

Description of Service

Northbase provides systematic, data-driven analysis of enterprise UX patterns. Our service includes:

  • •Microcopy databases and decision frameworks
  • •Regular updates and new pattern additions

User Accounts

Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate and current.

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Subscription and Payment

Subscription Plans

Northbase offers Solo and Team subscription plans. Subscriptions are billed annually and automatically renew unless cancelled.

Payment

Payment is processed through Polar. By subscribing, you agree to pay all fees associated with your chosen plan. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access until the end of your billing period.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • •Share your account credentials with others
  • •Reproduce, duplicate, or copy any content from Northbase without permission
  • •Use automated means to access the service or collect data
  • •Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
  • •Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

Intellectual Property

All content on Northbase, including text, graphics, logos, and data, is the property of Northbase and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the content for your personal or internal business purposes.

Screenshots and examples from third-party applications are used for research and educational purposes under fair use.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Northbase is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Northbase and its founders shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by email or through the service. Your continued use of Northbase after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms of Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
